It is said that "Preparation is everything" and it is true. Properly preparing walls to receive either paint or wallpaper is essential. Unless the walls are pristine, this will probably entail some degree of plastering, skim coating, sanding and sealing with a primer. Accentuate Walls will make sure your wall, ceiling and trim surfaces are well primed before receiving a finish application, which will provide longer lasting results.
Dust containment and the protection of any surface which will not receive paint such as bathroom fixtures and tile, kitchen appliances, counters and cabinetry, door and window hardware, and floors are an important aspect of our service. We strive to maintain a clean work environment throughout the job and will do a thorough clean-up before leaving the job site.
If necessary, furniture will be moved or consolidated in an out-of-the-way area and thoroughly covered. We will put it back to its rightful position when the job is done.
Accentuate Walls provides painting, wallpaper removal and wallpaper installation for interior wall surfaces. These services include cleaning wall surfaces, sanding, taping, skim coating and plastering where necessary. If your walls show water damage, we will do a moisture content inspection before beginning work.
In addition, we provide two types of surface cleaning:
During warm weather months, we do pressure cleaning of home exteriors, paved areas, decks, and outdoor furniture.
We offer a one-time cleaning service of apartments or house interiors for people who are in the process of moving in or out and want
their residences sparkling clean and sanitary.
Removing wallpaper is difficult and messy. Let Accentuate Walls tackle it for you. Once the paper is off, the glue underneath must also be removed before a new finish, whether paint or wallpaper, can be applied. We can do this and restore the wall to a smooth surface ready for a new finish.
Some people think of wallpaper as old-fashioned, but it is not, as many decorators will attest. There are many creative designs available, both traditional and modern, in a wide range of textures. Accentuate Walls can recommend the right wallpaper for your project and then install it for you with the same care and craftsmanship we bring to all our work. The proprietor of Accentuate Walls is a member of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers (NGPP.org).
One Time Cleaning Service
Everyone wants to move into a clean home or office, but sometimes the previous owner left it messy or dirty. Or perhaps you are the one moving and simply don't have the time or energy to do a thorough cleaning. The service includes microfiber mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing countertops, and tidying up kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living rooms, leaving the place sparkling and fresh.
As an added service Accentuate Walls will pressure clean your home and surfaces around your home, including wood, vinyl, slate, brick, cedar shakes, etc. If moss, mold, mildew or dirt is present on your patio/terrace, paved walks, driveway, deck, and outdoor furniture, let us remove it for you. We will apply a water sealer afterwards. This service is provided from May to September only.
